Unrest in Ranchi

An violent terrorist organization called the Naxalites have been active in Ranchi, Jharkhand, the part of India which I will be visiting.    The anti-government group brutally beheaded Jharkhand's police inspector on today.  The Naxals (or Maoists) claim to represent the tribes and poor of India and are against the perceived neglect, degradation and corruption of the government.  In response to the esculating violence, the Central Government is embarking on a major offensive against the Naxals.  This could add a little excitement to my already adventurous trip.
